KCR remains firm, orders recruitment of temporary staff for RTC as strike goes on unabated

Hyderabad : The Telangana State government on Sunday issued a notification to recruit temporary staff for the RTC as strike was going on unabated for ninth conservative day.
In the notification, the government said to offer better salaries every day to the new staff ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 to them. The government plans to recruit on daily wage basis the staff like drivers, conductors,  electricians,  mechanics, shramiks and others.

The notification came followed by a directive from Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who refused talks with RTC unions’ leaders. The government may also recruit retired technical staff from Transport, Police and other departments for the TSRTC. The notification for temporary staff came at a time when RTC  employees are on strike for merger and PRC demands. (NSS)
