Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that he will soon announce good news to people and farmers in the state.
The decision will surprise the entire country the Chief Minister said. Along with Seer Tridandi Chinna Jeevan Swamy, KCR today launched the Konda Pochamma Sagar project that will offer waters for irrigation and drinking waters. They performed Sudarshana and Chandi yagams pujas at the project site and released Godavari waters near Markuk village in Medak district. The reservoir built-in 15.8 km circular shape by spending Rs 1540 cr with 15 tmc capacity and to irrigate 2,85,220 acres in Siddipet, Sanga Reddy, Medak, Medchal and Yadadri districts. The facility will Irrigate about 3 lakh acres in some districts and provide drinking water to Hyderabad
Later KCR told media that with landowners and people support the new reservoir was completed.
The government has offered needed compensation and will support them for giving their lands. Our priority is the completion of the irrigation projects and pushes farm production in the state. It has three sluice gates to distribute waters on divergent routes.
First canal starts at Sanga Reddy to supply waters to Medak, Siddipet and Sanga Reddy. Second canal from Jagadevour will give waters to Yadadri district. Third from Keshavapur reservoir near Shamirpet area to give drinking waters to twin Cities.
