Hyderabad: TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today instructed the party leadership in districts to see that party offices are built immediately without any delay by Dasara festival.
KCR held a key meeting with party leaders, including ministers and senior leaders and asked them to chalk out a strategy to win all the seats in the polls to be held for municipalities and municipal corporations. All the ministers and 30 senior leaders of the ruling party attended the meeting chaired by the Chief Minister at Telangana Bhavan here today.
The TRS boss gave design and Rs 60 lakh to each district in-charge for building party offices. He said to have asked the party district in-charges and local leaders to build party offices with all facilities and a spacious conference hall. He asked the leadership to complete the membership drive at the earliest while the deadline is July 20.
The Chief Minister gave direction to the leaders on the upcoming civic body polls and the strategy to be adopted and win the seats in all districts. “With the same spirit of the previous polls, we should win the polls in civic bodies”, he informed the ministers and party leaders. Though the party suffered loss in the recent Lok Sabha elections, this time in the civic body polls, the TRS should perform better by winning all the seats, he said. KCR also touched upon the two-day Assembly session being held on July 18 and 19 to pass the Municipalities Amendment Bill. (NSS)
