The contesting candidates of key political parties today filed their nomination papers from the Nagarjuna Sagar assembly constituency for the upcoming by-elections.
Former minister and veteran Congress leader K. Jana Reddy filed his nomination papers as the party candidate at Nidamanoor Tehsildar’s office.

The ruling TRS party candidate Nomula Bhagath has also filed his nomination papers from the constituency. He was accompanied by the party leaders like state minister G. Jagadish Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav Mohammad Mahmood Ali, and others. Bhagath took out a rally on the occasion.

Speaking to media persons later, Jana Reddy securing votes by offering inducements to the voters of the constituency would do harm to democracy. He urged the EC to take action in the issue. On the other hand, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is also contesting from the constituency. The party candidate Muvva Aruna Kumari has filed her nomination papers from the constituency.
