Khargone Woman Offered New House After Her PMAY Home Bulldozed In Response To Riots

After facing criticism for bulldozing the place of an old lady who was working under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ (PMAY) in revolt hit Khargone, the area organization has now offered another house to the family.

Talking to the media regarding April 16 that authorities from the area organization alongside those from the Nagar Nigam had visited the family and has proposed to move into a private structure. As of now, the family is living in an abandoned mosque close by.

In the wake of giving them apportion, the authorities had likewise taken the thumb impressions of relatives, and informed them they would be moved into a multiplex.

Amjad Khan, child of older lady, told media that, “The authorities offered a level in a multiplex, however that building is situated in the space where collective uproar had broken out on April 10, so we denied. Later they let me know that another house will be advertised.”

An authority expressed that as the family was poor, and consequently they would be moved into another house on the course of the state government. In any case, the organization was at this point to finish the structure in which the family would be moved.

Notwithstanding, the organization kept on keeping up with that the house was endorsed under PMAY for private purposes, yet the family involved it for different purposes and subsequently the structure was obliterated.

“They have developed the house on government land while they got endorsement under PMAY at a better place. An instance of infringement on government land was happening in the tehsil court regarding this situation. The tehsildar had given orders for its evacuation after which it was wrecked,” area authorities said.

The house was wrecked on April 11 by the specialists during a drive against ‘illicit’ homes and shops of the people who were purportedly engaged with the mobs, which had prompted the inconvenience of a time limit in Khargone.
