New Delhi: Former chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh State Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy reached here today. He will meet AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday at 11.30 am.
It may be mentioned here that rumors were ripe for the last one month that Kiran Kumar Reddy was planning to come back to Congress and the news of his meeting with Rahul Gandhi on Friday strengthened the rumors of his re-entry into the Congress party.
It may be mentioned here that Kiran Kumar Reddy had left the Congress immediately after the division of united Andhra Pradesh State and launched Samaikyandhra Pradesh Party before 2014 elections. But his party failed miserably at the ballot boxes. After 2014 elections, Kiran Kumar Reddy confined himself to his home till recent days. But the newly appointed Andhra Pradesh State Congress party affairs in-charge Omen Chandy went to Kiran Kumar Reddy’s residence and invited him to join Congress party again.
It is learnt that Kiran has accepted Chandy’s invitation of rejoining the Congress party and as part of it, he arrived in Delhi today. The rumors also spread immediately after Omen Chandy’s invitation that Kiran would join Congress party on July 13 at Delhi in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. (NSS)
