Kishan Reddy says he knows nothing about Raja Singh’s video

The Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy feigned ignorance about controversial remarks made by BJP MLA T Raja Singh on Tuesday. When asked to comment on Raja Singh’s issue at a press conference to condemn the arrest of State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, he said he could not see the video since it had been deleted.

Telangana’s BJP MLA T Raja Singh, arrested for alleged derogatory comments about Prophet Muhammad, has been granted bail after a court rejected police custody requests. The BJP later suspended him.

He alleged that Sanjay had been arrested twice by the police, referring to the arrest of Sanjay. He was arrested after the police broke open the window grills in the party office in Karimnagar when he was performing ‘deeksha’.

BJP became stronger after undertaking the ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra’ to know the problems facing the people in the State, and the State government made sure Sanjay was arrested while taking part in a deeksha in Jangaon in the morning.

With the BJP winning the byelections to Dubakka assembly constituency, the ruling party was unable to digest its strength. During the yatra that started from Yadadri last month, Sanjay received a rousing welcome.

Neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was criticized, the Union Minister said. However, the Chief Minister personally criticized Modi. Reddy went on to say that the lotus, the BJP’s symbol, would bloom in the state during the next elections.

According to Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy, the BJP will end the corrupt rule of the TRS in Telangana.

Asked why Amit Shah was coming to Munugode during BJP’s ‘Munugode Samara Bheri’ public meeting yesterday, Kishan Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao did not know why the Union Home Minister was there.
