New Delhi: Congress senior leaders and Komatireddy brothers—Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, were had special meeting with AICC chief Rahul Gandhi here on Friday for 15 minutes. They discussed on the strategy to be adopted in the coming elections in Telangana state.
Later speaking to the media, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that Rahul Gandhi wished the victory of the Congress party in Telangana state this time at any cost. Rahul suggested them that all have to work together to ensure the victory of Congress party. Rahul explained them to take the corruption in irrigation projects, unemployment and dalith issues. “Rahul also suggested not to speak openly on candidates names still elections dates are announced. We all the leaders took the decision unitedly to work together irrespective of groups. We explained the prevailing latest conditions to Rahul Gandi region wise. We asked Rahul to give tickets to the leaders, who were working from the beginning and give tickets to the youth”, he said.
Rajagopal Reddy said that Rahul Gandhi discussed with them on alliances. Rahul made it clear that there was no need to sacrifice the must win seats to anyone. Rajagopal Reddy said that they explained Rahul thoroughly to allocate seats to the winning candidates only as the seats were very less. He exuded confidence that the Congress party will emerge as a victorious. (NSS)
