KT Rama Rao Criticizes Congress for Alleged Neglect of Telangana

KT Rama Rao, working president of the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) and Minister, has blasted the Congress party and its leaders for what he sees as a lack of devotion to Telangana.

In a stinging rebuke to Congress, he contrasted the developing state of Telangana under the BRS government with the situation in Karnataka under Congress leadership.

Rama Rao accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of neglecting to address critical Telangana concerns. He questioned Gandhi’s right to visit Telangana if he hadn’t held the NDA government accountable for promises made under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. He demanded explanations for the delay in establishing a tribal university in the state and the failure to set up the Bayyaram steel factory.

In contrasting the two parties, Rama Rao emphasized the achievements of the BRS government in Telangana in fulfilling unspoken promises, such as the provision of uninterrupted free electricity to farmers, while criticizing the Congress for failing to provide farmers in Karnataka with even five hours of electricity.

He accused Congress leaders of corruption and accusing them of seeking votes in Telangana after abandoning the people of Karnataka. He also drew a comparison between the Telangana government’s proactive approach to resolving Podu land concerns and the Congress’ claimed apathy on the subject.

Rama Rao slammed the Congress for its participation in the Telangana creation delay, claiming that the party was the main villain in Telangana’s history. He stated that Telangana residents would not trust the Congress because of its track record, and he referred to Revanth Reddy, the recently appointed TPCC (Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee) leader, as a “vulture” involved in land mafia and the selling of MLA seats.

He also dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the BRS, claiming that the Telangana government was under the authority of the people, while the Congress was losing control. Given its track record of failure, Rama Rao projected that the Congress will not restore the trust of the people of Telangana.
