KTR along with Finance Minister Harish Rao inaugurate IT Tower in Siddipet

On Thursday, Telangana state Finance Minister Harish Rao and IT Minister KTR inaugurated the IT tower built adjacent to Rajiv Road in the Siddipet town suburbs of Nagulabanda. KTR stated at a meeting held on the occasion that the start of the IT tower will provide employment for 1500 people in Siddipet.

“We will develop Siddipet by bringing large-scale industries there. It is a fantastic result that companies came and offered jobs on the very day the IT tower opened,” KTR said, adding that they will expand the IT hub by allocating more funds.

According to the minister, IT exports have increased from Rs. 56,000 crore in 2014 to Rs. 2.41 lakh crore now. Minister Harish Rao promised that companies that participate in the Siddipet IT Tower would receive free maintenance, rent, electricity, and internet bills for two years.

Meanwhile, the IT Tower was built on 3 acres of land with 4-storeys for Rs.63 crores. On December 10, 2020, CM KCR laid the foundation stone for the construction of this tower. The Secretary of the IT Department signed agreements with various companies on the same day.

Speaking on the occasion, the Industries Minister stated that Siddipet not only provided the people with a visionary leader like Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, but it also played an important role in the formation of the State.

“Had you people not elected K Chandrashekhar Rao garu as MLA and MP, there would have been no TRS party and no agitation for a separate Telangana,” Rama Rao said.

Siddipet has played an important role in the implementation of several welfare programs in the state. Back in 1987, when K Chandrashekhar Rao garu was a local MLA, he launched the Haritha Haram program by planting 10,000 saplings. The Chief Minister had launched Dalit Chaitanya Jyoti for Dalit upliftment here, the Minister said.

In 1997, Chandrashekhar Rao garu initiated the piped water connection in the constituency by supplying water from lower Manair. This initiative eventually became the Mission Bhagiratha program in the state, and the BJP-led Union government replicated it as the Har Ghal Jal program across the country, the Minister said

Telangana’s integrated, holistic, inclusive, and balanced growth in all sectors served as a model for the entire country. Even today, he said, a slaughter house, an IT tower, and other development projects were launched in Siddipet, indicating that the state’s growth radar was covering all sectors.
