KTR Hits Out at BJP, Says BRS Will Expose the Party in Other States

KT Rama Rao (KTR), Telangana minister for IT and industries, said on Tuesday that if other politicians come to Telangana and criticize the government, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS, formerly TRS) will expose them across the country.

“I ask you to consider the current situation in the country. Why are there Munugode by-elections? It’s because one contractor prioritized money over service,” stated KTR.

“Whatever contract you gave Rajagopal in Munugode, if you had given it to Telangana, we would have progressed even better,” KTR lashed out at the Centre.

“I spoke with officials in Nalgonda, who informed me of the fluorosis issues in the water. This has created issues for pregnant women. After we came to power in 2018 the amount of fluorosis has come under control,” said KTR.

While expressing confidence in TRS’s victory in the Munugode bypoll, he urged people to support the TRS. “We don’t mind losing a seat, we have the people’s support, which has helped us retain 107 seats in the assembly.”

“The NITI Ayog visited the state, and then urged the Centre to grant Rs 18,000 crore for mission Bhagirat, which the state did not receive,” said KTR while addressing the TRS student wing at Telangana Bhavan.

KTR also criticized the Centre for allegedly copying the state’s development scheme to provide drinking water to all households in the state.

“KCR’s mission Bhagirath was replicated as Har Ghar Jal by the Centre. There is no proof of the water connections they have provided, but they have certainly injected poison in people,” KTR said.

KTR then urged people to support TRS in order to ensure the state’s development progress. “We will definitely win the Munugode by-polls if we have your support.”

He also slammed the BJP’s Munugode candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy for accepting money from the center, alleging that the Komatireddy brothers are running a covert operation from within the Congress to assist the BJP.

KTR also claimed that people in Karnataka have questioned the BJP government’s farm schemes and sought the annexation of Raichur with Telangana. KTR also stated that the Centre discriminated against the states when allocating development funds.

KTR criticized PM Modi, saying, “I am not scared of you, if you have the guts please come out and explain why Gautam Adani has been given money, while our people are struggling.”

“We have launched Bharat Rashtra Samithi to take the Telangana model to the rest of India,” the minister added. “If other politicians can come to Telangana and criticize us, we can do the same to them in other states.”
