KTR inaugurates world-class oncology centre at NIMS

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday inaugurated air-conditioned cancer centre at Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences in Punjagutta. KTR accompanied Health Minister Laxma Reddy for the inauguration ceremony.

The 50-bed facility is developed at a cost of Rs 10 crore by Megha Engineering Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) and is equipped with ultra-modern facilities on a par with corporate hospitals.

The facility has five beds in the Intensive Care Unit, 12 beds for men, 10 beds for women,11 beds for children & 12 beds have been set aside for a speciality leukaemia ward. The 18,000 sft completely air-conditioned centre also has an exclusive Oncology Critical Care Unit (OCCU).
