KTR says to fill up Ward officers posts

Hyderabad: Municipal Minister, KTR today informed the Council that ward officers posts to be filled up soon in municipalities.

Replying to members during question hour, the KTR said that the new Ward officers posts will help the rapid development of the wards besides addressing the issues. 

The minister informed that the government is firm to develop the city as a global destination and all civic bodies in the city.  He said that despite lockdown and corona pandemic, an increase of cases, and virus spread we built 11000 public toilets in the city and districts.  The ward officers will get new officers in all wards and work with local corporations and leaders,  he said. 

The minister has also said that the government is taking up several development programs continuously in all municipalities and corporations.  We are instructing the officials and local corporations, members, and leaders to coordinate to complete the works. 

The ultimate aim of the government is to address the issues and ensure works completed on time he said.  The GHMC did not increase property taxes on power bills and reduced them instead he claimed. 

Though the Centre did not give funds of arrears for development, the state government,  GHMC release adequate funds towards the completion of works of development.  Under the SRDP  program several development programs taken up to provide better roads and infrastructure, KTR said.
