KTR woos Brahmins ahead of polls

Hyderabad: Caretaker Minister KT Rama Rao today wooed the Brahmin community by stating that the TRS plans many more schemes for their welfare and will address their issues and problems.

During a meeting of the community at Wonder Park near Necklace Road here, Brahmin priests blessed KTR and extended total support to the TRS. The minister said the TRS has planned to launch 17 more welfare schemes for the Brahmins and only five of them are being implemented in addition to the existing ones. “We had planned to extend financial support for conducting regular rituals in 1,200 more temples in the State, but they were stalled due to Election Code”, he said.

The schemes could not move ahead as the Election Code was in force in the State. He reiterated that only Telangana State in the country launched some 450 welfare schemes and the credit goes to TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. As KCR knows about poverty in the Brahmin community, he  launched disbursal of salaries to Archakas through treasuries, he claimed. KCR allocated hundreds of crores of rupees for developing the temples, he said and sought blessings of the Brahmins in the upcoming polls.

KTR also explained that KCR sought Godavari pushkaralu in the State and had conducted Ayutha Chandi Yagam for world welfare and peace. The TRS chief was committed to the welfare of poor Brahmins by launching several schemes. (NSS)
