As per the latest reports, the Union Cabinet has passed a proposal to increase the minimum legal age for marriage of women from 18 to 21 years.
Sources said the government approved the proposition in a gathering of the bureau on Wednesday.
As of now, the legitimate least time of marriage for men is 21 years and 18 for ladies. Sources said the proposition depended on the suggestion of NITI Aayog team headed by Jaya Jaitly. Senior authorities of the wellbeing service, ladies and kid improvement service, and law service were individuals from the team set up in June last year.
The team was framed to inspect matters relating to the time of parenthood, goals of bringing down MMR (Maternal Mortality Rate), improvement of healthful levels and related issues.

In his Independence Day discourse last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that to save the ladies from hunger they are hitched at the right age.

Meanwhile, the government has introduced bills in the parliament to fortify the disciplinary components for chartered accountants, cost and work accountants, and secretaries. The Chartered Accountants, The Cost, And Works Accountants and The Company Secretaries (Amendment) Bill, 2021 is meant to change and accelerate the disciplinary component of the foundations.
Three bills managing these callings, The Chartered Accountants Act, The Cost, And Work Accountants Act, And The Company Secretaries Act will be changed and time-bound removal of cases with time limits for quick removal of issues will be guaranteed by the individuals from the establishment.
