Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam party national president N Chandrababu Naidu gave a call to the people to show the strength of Telugus to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reiterated his commitment to complete Polavaram project.
Addressing “Dharma Porata Deeksha” here on Saturday, he said that freedom fighter Vuyyalavada Narasimha Reddy fought against the Britishers in the Rayalaseema region and asked people of the state to draw inspiration from him to fight against the NDA led Centre to get Reorganisation Act provisions fulfilled. He said that 11 states were accorded Special Category Status (SCS) but denied the same to AP, he regretted. Railway Zoe and steel factory in Kadapa have not been established so far, he deplored, adding that the BJP would be taught a lesson in the 2019 elections for its betrayal to AP. He said that the TDP had alliance with the BJP only to protect the interests of the state.
Mr.Naidu reiterated his commitment to complete the Polavaram project across the river Godavari and make the state as drought-free. Ministers K E Krishna Murthy, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Paritala Sunita, B Akhilapriya and a host of MPs and MLA among who were present.
