Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao today said Lok Suraksha program will help women get loans and offer insurance amount if they die. The family members of a woman will get the amount in case of her death, he explained.
The minister launched the Lok Suraksha program at Secretariat here on Thursday. He said the scheme will provide insurance amount to the kin if the women die. It is good scheme to help those in problems, he said, adding that if the women die after taking loans under the scheme, their family members will get the insurance amount. Lone Suraksha provides Rs 5,000 for funeral expenses.
The minister also released brochures of Stree Nidhi, Sneha awareness and annual report of Employment Guarantee scheme. (NSS)
