Hyderabad: Declaring his party was ready for early elections, Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman today asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to first seek resignations of defectors and immediately announce elections.
Laxman, who is on a 15-day Janachaitanya Yatra, was speaking on the fourth day at Kadtal in Rangareddy district. He claimed that his party was getting tremendous support from the people and CM KCR was getting jittery after seeing people’s huge response. Alleging that the TRS government was allowing opening of bars and wine shops indiscriminately in the State, the BJP State president alleged that the State government’s annual income from liquor sale has risen from Rs 14,000 crore in 2014 to Rs 20,000 crore now.
Though over three lakh government posts remained vacant in the State, the KCR government was playing with lives of youth by not recruiting them in the vacant posts, Laxman alleged. (NSS)
