Mamata: With Tamil Nadu and Telangana CM we are going to keep the country’s federal structure intact

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is attempting to form a united front against the BJP, stated on Monday that she had spoken with her counterparts in Tamil Nadu and Telangana and that they were working together to “protect the country’s federal structure from being bulldozed.”

The feisty TMC chief claimed that the BJP-led Center had “demolished” the country’s Constitution, and about that she had spoken with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and her Telangana counterpart KCR, and said that she was working to protect the federal structure.

I had asked Congress and the CPI (M) to work together more closely, but there is nothing I can do if they don’t listen. She went on to say, I don’t hold grudges against anyone.
In the midst of the ongoing feud between West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called MK Stalin, her Tamil Nadu counterpart, on Sunday evening to discuss “misuse of power” by governors of states ruled by parties opposed to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Beloved Didi @MamataOfficial telephoned me to share her concern and anguish on the Constitutional overstepping and brazen misuse of power by the Governors of non-BJP ruled states. She suggested for a meeting of Opposition CMs,” read Mr. Stalin’s tweet. I assured her of DMK’s commitment to upholding State autonomy. Convention of Opposition CMs will soon happen out of Delhi! added a second post.

Mamata Banerjee thanked people for voting

On Monday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee thanked people for voting for the TMC, which is expected to win big in four municipal elections on February 12.

Banerjee also stated that the state administration would continue to work for the benefit of the common people.

While campaigning for the Samajwadi Party (SP) last week, the TMC supremo claimed that her party decided not to contest elections in Uttar Pradesh in the “greater interest.”

Because I did not want Akhilesh Yadav (SP chief) to lose any seats, the TMC did not run a candidate in UP. She told reporters, I am hopeful that Akhilesh’s party will win 37 of the 57 seats in the first phase.
The chief minister also stated that she will return to Uttar Pradesh on March 3 for a rally in Varanasi. Banerjee claims that no regional outfit has good relations with the Congress, with whom the TMC has not been on good terms recently.

She stated, Congress can do its thing; we’ll do ours.
