Hyderabad: The Child Friendly Court at Haca bhavan (special court for trial of offences under Pocso Act) has convicted and sentenced a man to life imprisonment for sexually assaulting his two-year-old daughter. The accused, who does not work, takes care of his two sons and daughter in her absence.
On November 13 last year, when the child complained to her mother about severe pain in her private parts due to her father’s “beating”, the mother took her to a hospital. However, one of sons revealed to his mother that their father had committed the heinous crime. The woman immediately complained to the Santosh Nagar police.
The Child Friendly Court, since its inception, convicted many offenders under POCSO Act. Till now, court delivered 18 convictions, including four life sentences, 10 years rigorous imprisonment in seven cases, five years rigorous imprisonment in two cases, three years imprisonment in four cases and one year rigorous imprisonment in one case.
