Manickam Tagore slams TRS party

AICC state incharge and the party MP Manickam Tagore today came down heavily on the ruling TRS party and alleged that the ruling party was splurging money earned through illegal means in the name of the construction of Kaleswaram lift irrigation project.

He said that the Telangana state, which was a surplus state at the time of its formation, had now turned into a debt ridden state with a debt burden of ₹4 lakh crores.

He made these remarks while addressing a meeting of the important party workers at Venkata Sai gardens in Huzurabad Assembly constituency. Former deputy CM of the undivided AP state Damodar Rajanarasimha, TPCC publicity Committee Chairman Madhu Yaski, Congress leaders Srinivasa Krishnan, Mallu Ravi, Balaram Naik, Ponnam Prabhakar, and the party candidate from Huzurabad Balmuri Venkat also took part in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Tagore alleged that the election commission of the country was extending its support to the TRS and BJP in the upcoming by-elections. Citing the continuous increase of petrol, domestic gas, and diesel prices in the country and the State, He demanded an explanation on the steep rise from union finance minister Nirmala Seetharaman and state finance minister T. Harish Rao. He made it clear that they would have a strong fight with the BJP. He said that the party candidate Venkat has a clear image in the Huzurabad segment.

Terming Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as the most corrupt CM in the entire country, Damodar Rajanarasimha said that the state was witnessing a dictatorial rule. He termed the Huzurabad by-elections as the mode of expensive elections. He said that there was no democracy in Telangana.
