MANUU observes Constitution Day

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) today by organizing an online talk.

Prof. Yogesh Pratap Sing, Vice-Chancellor I/c National Law University Odisha, Cuttack while delivering the talk on the theme “Indian Constitution: Fundamental Principles and Values” highlighted that a society without a constitution is an unguided society. India is a country with a progressive constitution that promotes the spirit of pluralism and togetherness, he said.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Registrar I/c, MANUU Presided over. The lecture was jointly organized by the Department of Political Science and the Department of Public Administration of MANUU. Prof. Afroz Alam, Head, Dept. of Political Science welcomed, introduced the guest speaker, and convened the program. Dr. Kaneez Zehra, Head, Dept. of Public Administration proposed a vote of thanks.

Earlier, the NSS Unit of MANUU organized a reading of the Preamble of the Constitution, India at Conference Hall, Administrative Building, MANUU. Prof. S M Rahmatullah, Vice-Chancellor I/c, MANUU read out the Preamble to the faculty and staff members.

Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, NSS Coordinator, and others were present.

Arrangement to watch live the Preamble reading and address by Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Honorable President of India was also made.
