Many Ministerial Berth Aspirants Having Tense Moments

Hyderabad: The much awaited cabinet expansion by chief minister of the state K. Chandrasekhar Rao will finally take place on February 19. As the muhurat for the cabinet expansion is fixed, the speculation as to who would be inducted into KCR’s cabinet has beseeched the political corridors of the state.

According to highly placed sources of ruling TRS party, the state cabinet will have eight to nine members. It is widely stated that  KCR will pick up leaders from different districts of the state except Medak, Ranga Reddy  and Khammam in the upcoming first  phase of the cabinet expansion . The sources add that most of the leaders, who have worked as the state cabinet ministers  earlier, will not get a second term this time. The sources add that  KCR has finalised the names of Senior MLAs of the Party Errabelli Dayakar Rao  (Warangal), Alolla Indrakaran Reddy (Nirmal), Koppula Eeswar (Jagtiyal), Vemula Prashant Reddy (Nizamabad ), Talasani Srinivas Yadav (Hyderabad), S. Niranjan Reddy ( Wanaparthy), Padma Devendar Reddy (Medak)  Gutta Sukhender Reddy (Nalgonda) and  Rekha Naik ((Asifabad). Specualtion is  also rife that the son of the CM and party’s working president KTR and his nephew T. Harish Rao will not be inducted into
the cabinet for varied reasons.

However, people close to the CM are saying that both the family members of the CM will find a place in his cabinet. There are reports that former ministers Etala Rajender, G. Jagadish Reddy and T.Padma Rao Goud are also likely to be considered for the cabinet Berths. However, certain internal issues like selection of candidate for choppadandi Assembly segment was going against Etala. It is widely speculated that Padma rao goud may get the Deputy speaker’s post if he misses a place in the cabinet expansion. (NSS)
