Marri opposes Mittal as three districts’ poll observer

Hyderabad: Finding fault with the Election Commission for appointing Navin Mittal, IAS, as Rangareddy-Hyderabad-Medchal districts’ observer, Congress Election Committee chairman Marri Shashidhar Reddy has alleged that the former was facing several allegations of irregularities and the TRS was trying to make Mittal to do favor to TRS party.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Marri faulted caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for giving leaks saying that the elections will be held on November 24. The Election Commission should give the information instead of KCR. He also alleged that the Election Commission was preparing voters’ list on the directions of KCR. The Election Commission was not giving the draft of the removed votes and newly enrolled votes details, he alleged. (NSS)
