MLA Rajagopal reddy apprehended at Munugodu

Congress party MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was apprehended by police at Outer Ring Road (ORR) Bongulur road toll plaza of Outer Ring Road (ORR).

The apprehension was done following a warning by the MLA that he would take out a rally with 10,000 party workers demanding the state government to sanction Rs.2000 crore to the Dalits of his Minugodu Assembly constituency in the same manner as the Dalits of the Huzurabad Assembly Constituency.

He also said that he would hold a protest before state Minister G. Jagadish Reddy.  The police apprehended the MLA as soon as he left Hyderabad for his constituency.

The police have also arrested the congress party workers in Chityala, Narketpalli, Nakrekal Congress and Ramannapeta areas of the constituency.

It may be noted here that both the MLA and the state minister entered into a bitter argument a couple of days back. Meanwhile, the MLA has condemned the arrest of the party workers and demanded the police to release all the arrested party workers.

He also demanded the state government implement its Dalit bandhu scheme. He warned that they would not allow the ruling TRS party MLAs to visit their respective villages.

He alleged that the Dalit Bandhu scheme was being brought up only to ensure the defeat of the former minister Etela.
