MNC IT companies asked to review security policies

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, IPS, today called upon CEOs/Centre heads of large/MNC IT companies to review current security policies and procedures put in place in general and CCTV network system, in specific in the Cyberabad Commissionerate zone.

Sajjanar presented to them his vision to further enhance Security in Cyberabad through implementing proactive and technology enabled systems to align with Telangana Government’s vision to make Hyderabad as the top destination for IT sector by 2020. He reiterated that the State government was committed to this cause by way of investing into many security related programs and sought the support of IT industry to make this a collaborative effort. He showcased the examples of recent sensational crimes, their complexity and how they were able to resolve them in a short period of time with the help of CCTV systems.

The CEOs, who participated in the meet expressed their gratitude to CP and also endorsed his vision to make Cyberabad safe and secure through the many safety and secure initiatives. One of the major areas discussed and agreed upon is the support needed for community CCTV Program. The CEOs principally agreed to support the program by and also motivate their respective employees to contribute through individual donations.

In this regard, CP VC Sajjanar expressed his desire to meet the employees in the ‘CP’s connect with Employees’ program’ to create safety and security awareness among them and also to motivate them to contribute to the CCTV Community Program.

This meeting was facilitated by Society for Cyberabad Security council (SCSC). Speaking on the occasion, SCSC General Secretary Mr.Bharani Kumar Aroll emphasized on the need for a collaborative approach between IT industry & Police Department to make Cyberabad the top destination for business and living purposes and one of these requisites is surveillance through CCTV cameras. He urged the Industry representatives to contribute magnanimously towards this cause.

Later the CP showcased the Command and Control System of Cyberabad Commissionerate and explained its importance. DCP Madhapur Venkateswar Rao, IPS and DCP Traffic Vijay Kumar, IPS, were present during the meeting. (NSS)
