Monsoon likely to hit Hyderabad in June first week

The South West Monsoon likely to hit Hyderabad in June first week, the regional meteorological centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) said here today.

The mercury levels remained quite unberable for citizens in this pearl city.

The monsoon would probably reach the city after hitting the Kerala coast on May 28, IMD officials said, adding that it usually take three days after reaching Kerala to move on to Hyderabad.

The maximum temperature of 40 degrees celsius was recorded in Hyderabad during the last 24 hours while the temperatures are likely to to be around 42 to 44 degree celsius in many parts of Telangana during the next 48 hours.
