Hyderabad: Telangana is set to hit by Monsoon in the second week of June, according to Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research (PIK). It said Telangana State, which was under the grip of heatwave conditions, is all set to receive rains on June 8. The institute study revealed that Telangana State is likely to receive rains from June 8 to 16.
The institute has conducted research on the possible monsoon arrival and climatic changes, humidity, and temperatures. The research team as part of Indo-German project on monsoon effect has compared these factors in Telangana, the southern part of Maharashtra, the western area of Chattisgarh, Eastern Ghats and Pakistan, central India, Arabia Sea and Bay of Bengal and other localities. The team of scientists also said their previous predictions with tipping element process proved right in 2016 on the rainfall.
