More Congress men will join TRS in Sept: KTR

Hyderabad: IT & MAUD Minister K Taraka Rama Rao today said a few more Congress leaders will be joining the TRS next month. Stating that influx into the ruling party did not stop and some more Congress leaders will be joining the TRS, he reiterated.

Talking to mediapersons at Kongarakalan after inspecting the arrangements for Sept 2 Pragathi Nivedan Meeting here, KTR said, “Yes we are ready for the elections whenever they come. The lion will fight it alone and the TRS will not have any alliance with other political parties”. Feigning ignorance on the date of the early polls and dissolution of the Assembly, KTR said the Cabinet has to take a call on it and MLAs or MPs have nothing to do with it.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has met with Narendra Modi, who is Prime Minister and nothing else, he said. He ridiculed the comments of the Congress of winning 75 Assembly seats. “There was no chance for the Opposition and the TRS will retain power”, he said.

Denying meeting with CEC with regard to advancing the Assembly elections, KTR said as KCR said the TRS will win 100 Assembly seats and 16 MP seats. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister opposed the proposal of Congress alliance with the ruling TDP, he said there is no Telugu Desam in Telangana. (NSS)
