Mother, two children attempts to commit suicide in Adilabad

A mother and her two children attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison at Borigama village, Ichoda Mandal in this district on Sunday. However, mother died at the hospital while under goring the treatment, while her children are battling for life. Police said, Lavanya (30) mixed the poison in the water and gave it to her children Akshita (7) and Srithan (2) and she too consumed the same. After they felt unconscious, other members of the family who noticed it, immediately shifted them to RIMS hospital where Lavanya died while under going the treatment and her children struggling for life. In a complaint, deceased family members alleged that Lavanya’s husband, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law were harassing her for dowry. Police has registered a case and investigation has been taken up.
