MP Kavitha Launches Organ donation camp

Hyderabad: TRS MP Kavitha today said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is a great leader who freed crores of people from the clutches of foreign rule by achieving Telangana state. To mark KCR birthday on Sunday, she launched Organ Donation Sankalp camp at Necklace road and signed a deal with NIMS for organ donation.

On behalf of Jagruthi, she signed a deal with NIMS on organ donation and operations to be conducted. On the occasion Kavitha said that the program aims to collect at least 50,000 organs in one year and help those in need of the same. Kavitha appealed to media and television channels and people active in social media to cooperate for organ donation and help the poor who cannot afford treatment  in private hospitals. The poor can come to NIMS for getting organs implanted as per their health requirements and lead a new lease of life. The government encouragement helps professional doctors to provide better services to the poor,  she observed. The Jagruthi workers and volunteers who are in thousands will help the organ donation program for entire year by touring the villages,  she said.

The organs donated will be given to Jeevandan Trust and perform operations at NIMS, she said. The Jagruthi volunteers will coordinate with scientific approach on organ donation and getting help from the hospitals and the government. KCR was shocked at Pulwama terror attack and has abstained from birthday celebrations. The people should avoid doubts on organ donation as the process will keep intact the body and does not disturb it, she said. Many donors, voluntary organisations and others should do something for the cause of the society. Namasthe Telangana, T News and Telangana Jagruthi together work for Organ Sankap program,  she said.
