Mumbai Police Conducts Mock Drill At Mumbai Airport; Netizens React

In the latest update from Mumbai Airport Terminal, the Mumbai police conducted a mock drill as part of the security protocol. Following this, they urged the people to not panic throughout the procedure.

Terminal Was Declared Safe After The Mock Drill 

The Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2 was evacuated this morning for a mock drill. Amidst the social media buzz, the police urged the people to not panic. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) released a statement regarding the mock drill. The statement read that the CSMIA had conducted a mock drill as part of the security protocols.

The statement further informed that the mock drill was held today morning at Terminal 2 location in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. It confirmed that after successful assessments and checks, the terminal was declared safe and to be continued operational. The drill was completed at 11:48 hours.

Mock Drill Pictures Surfaced On Social Media 

Following the mock drill, multiple pictures were shared on social media that showed passengers moving out of the airport. Officials informed that the mock drill was not expected to affect the schedule of the flights. At the same time, some passengers were caught getting off guard as the evacuation process.

However, the officials said that they didn’t expect the mock drills to affect the flight schedule. A tweet by producer Siddhartha Basu took to Twitter to inform about the situation. The tweet said that there was total chaos at the T2 Mumbai airport with the sudden announcement of mock drill. The tweet said “stuck & suffocating in a crowded bus for 30 mins.

Following the mock drill, many people took to Twitter to express themselves. One of the Tweets requested the authorities to encourage proper communication for the people. Some people even called the situation “dangerous”.
