Nagole flyover set to be completed in July in Hyderabad

As the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) prepares to inaugurate the six-lane bi-directional Nagole flyover in July, traffic will be eased on the up-and-coming Uppal-LB Nagar stretch in the coming months.

The state government’s groundbreaking Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) is responsible for the Nagole flyover’s 947-metre length and 24-metre width. As soon as the flyover is complete, traffic will travel (both directions) with no signal, saving commuters considerable time and enhancing their safety, according to GHMC officials.

In the past few months, major works related to building the flyover have been completed, including the construction of foundations and piers.

Many commuters living in the LB Nagar constituency have said that the flyover has greatly benefited them. Besides being of tremendous advantage to commuters using the Uppal-LB Nagar stretch, the Nagole flyover benefits residents living in Samathapuri Colony, Bandlaguda, RK Puram and other areas of LB Nagar Constituency, as they can travel without hassle on the Nagole main road,” says Rama Krishna, a private employee living in Samathapuri Colony, LB Nagar Constituency.

Private employee P Sabita residing in Mohan Nagar, Kothapet says that although the main road connecting Uppal-LB Nagar-Karmanaghat is becoming more congested, the existing flyovers and underpasses have decreased the commute time dramatically, and the Nagole flyover will speed up traffic even further.

There have already been flyovers and underpasses built in and around LB Nagar for five to six years now. As a result, commute times have been shortened and safety has been improved. Thanks to the authorities for developing infrastructure in our area and for continuing to carry out developmental works”, she explained, noting how she has significantly reduced the time it takes her to commute from Uppal to Karmanghat through LB Nagar.

Furthermore, GHMC officials confirmed that the SRDP projects have significantly reduced the traffic snarls in LBC Nagar as it has become a densely populated locality with many homes, offices, and growing commercial establishments.
