Narsingi-Kokapet stretch being beautified by HMDA

The Narsingi-Kokapet stretch is no longer the same after the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) started decking up the road with artworks and lush greenery, making the entire stretch and its connecting roads appealing. People can also walk on the pathways created near these artworks and closely observe the piece of art.

Some of the artworks that have transformed the road beautifully include a welcome arch, an artwork showcasing the Rs 2 paise and Rs 5 paise coins that were minted decades ago, children walking on a bund, and a person lost in deep thought.

The architect, Kumara Swamy Goud, said of the artwork said that he has made an attempt to showcase the richness of Telangana through his art. “The children walking on the water pipeline/bund represent the rich resources of the State including our water reservoirs,” he said.

He also stated that, as a result of the State government’s vision, Hyderabad has become a role model for other cities in the country, and that artwork depicting a person thinking outside the box reflects the State government’s visionary thought process and futuristic approach.
