NDA Govt Keeping quiet on Bifurcation issues: TRS MPs

Hyderabad: TRS MPs slammed the Centre for failing to keep up  the bifurcation promises to the  two Telugu States. TRS Lok Sabha Leader, Jithender Reddy along with MPs Kavitha, Viond Kumar, Narsaiah Goud and others addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, and  accused the BJP led NDA Government at the Centre of keeping quiet on the promises, and it’s ‘Karenge, Dekhenge’ responses on  the State’s issues.

There is no significant project offered to the Telangana state by the Centre so far and the state is fighting  for its demands in the Parliament,  Jithender Reddy said. The MPs have submitted some representations  to the union ministers on the bifurcation issues and sought immediate steps. ‘We have urged the ministers on the rights of the Telangana state as per bifurcation Act’ he said. Kaleshwaram, Sitharama Projects and High Court division are the key issues the TRS sought for immediate steps for the state.

Despite repeated appeals and efforts in  the parliament, the Centre is remaining ignorant, he criticised. The Centre is giving nothing more than what is supposed to be given, he said adding that  the Centre has to accord national status to Kaleshwaram project. The MPs of the TRS have thus mounting pressure on the centre and pursuing  the issues of the state in the parliament,  he said.

Vinod Kumar said that the congress alliance has bitten  the  dust in the recent polls and the people gave complete mandate to the TRS to retain power in the polls. Kavitha ridiculed that the people did not trust the congress alliance in the polls. The TRS will win 16 MP seats in the LS polls in 2019, she said.(NSS)
