According to the latest reports, nearly 4,000 applications have been submitted from Telangana for Haj 2023 and the issuance of cover numbers has started from the Haj Committee of India.
According to Telangana Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem, employees of the State Haj Committee have been tasked with generating cover numbers, and applicants will be notified of the cover number.
He stated that the Saudi government has allotted a quota of 1,75,000 pilgrims to India this year, and that other states, including Telangana, may be allotted more quotas as a result. More pilgrims are expected to leave from Telangana this year than in previous years.
He said that the deadline for submitting online applications is March 10. He made an appeal to those who wish to perform Haj to approach haj house with online applications.
He stated that approximately seven counters have been set up to provide free online services. According to Muhammad Saleem, the Haj Committee is issuing letters of recommendation for the early issuance of passports to applicants, on the basis of which Regional Passport Office officials are completing the process of passport renewal and issuance of new passports quickly.

So far, the Haj Committee has issued letters to over 200 people. Muhammad Saleem stated that GMR officials have agreed to set aside a separate terminal at the International Airport for Haj 2023.
After visiting the Haj terminal, the arrangements will be finalised. He stated that in the third week of March, there will be a draw of lots for the selection of pilgrims. He said that like previous years, arrangements for haj camp will be made this time too.
