New BRS office inaugurated in Nagpur by CM KCR

Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao inaugurated his party’s first office in Maharashtra on Thursday, as part of his ambitious plan to expand the organization’s footprint beyond his home state.

Rao, also known as ‘KCR,’ was greeted warmly by his party’s workers upon his arrival at Nagpur airport around 3.45 p.m.

Following that, he went to the BRS office on Wardha Road, near the Sai temple, and inaugurated it in the presence of his party workers.

He is scheduled to address his party’s cadres at the city’s Suresh Bhat auditorium. The KCR-led party changed its name from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in December last year to emphasize its intention to become a pan-India party.

Rao announced a month-long campaign last month to expand the BRS party’s network in over 45,000 villages in Maharashtra’s urban civic bodies. As a result, on May 22, the BRS launched a drive to form party committees across the state as part of its effort to expand beyond its traditional stronghold of Telangana.

KCR recently held rallies in Maharashtra, primarily in Nanded, in which he slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the Centre and the Maharashtra government led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for failing farmers and the downtrodden.
