Night Curfew Extended Till May 8 in Telangana

Telangana Government today extended night curfew from 1 May to 8 May, from 8 pm to morning 5 am in the state. The government has taken this decision to check the rise in Corona cases and also related deaths.

 

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has issued orders extending 7 more days of night curfew till May 8 by 5 am. The government issued a GO 91 to extend the night curfew. Somesh Kumar instructed all district officials to strictly impose night curfew till May 8.

The High Court got serious on the case’s rise and action to check virus spread. It gave 45 minutes time to the Government to take a call in this regard and sought details. With the court orders, the State Government took a decision by extending 7 days of curfew. Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao has taken a decision in this regard and the government issued related orders.

Health minister Rajender denied imposing any lockdown to check virus spread. Home minister Mahamood Ali instructed the police officers to strictly impose night curfew and ensure the smooth handling of people’s movement. The state government has imposed a night curfew for the last 10 days to check the virus spread.

It gave some positive results as the people followed curfew norms since then.  The shops, business establishments, and hotels are being shut from 8 pm till 5 am every day as part of the night curfew. The people maintain physical distance besides wearing masks and sanitize hands as part of the night curfew.
