Nitin Gadkari Calls Tesla’s Plan For Selling Cars In India “Not Digestible”

As per the reports, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that assembling Tesla in China and selling it in India is not a digestible idea to us all, as Elon Musk keeps on looking for tax rebates to sell his electric vehicle in the country. In a media interview, Gadkari said he met the top of the Indian arm of Tesla “three-four days back”.

“I have attempted to persuade him. At last, it is reliant upon him to take the choice (to make in the country),” Gadkari informed media.

Focusing on that Musk needs to make here first to carry out Tesla vehicles on the streets, the Minister said: “Presently his (Musk’s) advantage is to fabricate the Tesla vehicle in China and make it sell in India. “Thus, assuming you start here, you are gladly received, no issue. Be that as it may, producing in China and selling in India is definitely not an edible idea to us all”.

Whenever got some information about Tesla’s interest to cut traditional obligations on electric vehicles, Gadkari said that the nation can’t mollify one auto organization.
