On Tuesday, a class 10 student at ZP High School in Torlikonda, Jakranpally zone, attempted suicide by jumping from a school building. The boy is thought to have taken the extreme step as a result of ‘love failure.’
Kiran, a Kamareddy district native, was a student at ZP High School and residing in the SC Boys’ hostel which belonged to the Social Welfare Department. According to the teachers, he did not attend class on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Kiran was seen walking around the school grounds. Some students claimed he went to the building’s terrace and jumped from there.
After hearing a loud thud, the teachers and students came out of the classrooms to find Kiran in critically injured condition. With serious injuries, the injured student was transported in a 108 ambulance to a private hospital in Armor.
Kiran is said to have been in love with a girl since class seven, and she appears to have rejected his feelings for her, prompting him to take this drastic step. MEO Srinivas, PRTU Zone president Praveen Reddy, and general secretary Gopi all rushed to the hospital to inquire about the student’s health condition.

In another tragic incident, a 27-year-old nurse committed suicide by hanging at her home in Gachibowli on 22nd March. In the absence of her family members, she took the extreme step. The victim hung herself with a dupatta.

When the deceased’s family members returned home, they discovered that the bedroom door had been locked from the inside. They forced open the door and discovered the nurse hanging. Police suspect that the reason behind the suicide could have been love failure.
