No Entry for Journalists in Praja Darbar

Access to Praja Bhavan, where Chief Minister Revanth Reddy initiated the Praja Darbar last Friday to address public grievances, is strictly restricted for journalists. Although the initial day allowed media entry, subsequent days have seen police preventing their access.

Citizens from various districts are visiting with complaints, particularly related to issues such as Dharani Portal discrepancies, the absence of ration cards, pension concerns, and challenges with double-bedroom houses.

Many individuals, like Kammari Venkatesham from Gajwel, faced difficulties related to the Dharani Portal. Despite having four acres of land, discrepancies in the portal have hindered Venkatesham from receiving Rythu Bandhu money, bank loans, and other entitlements. Frustrated by the lack of resolution at government offices and even after meeting the collector, he turned to Praja Bhavan to submit his petition.

Despite the Chief Minister’s initial personal presence, people continue to visit even after two days to personally submit their complaints. The focus remains on issues related to bureaucratic processes and service delivery affecting citizens’ access to essential benefits
