Nomination Scrutiny Concludes in Huzurabad By-Elections Officials Reject 18 Nomination Papers

The process of the scrutiny of the nomination papers for the upcoming by-elections in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency was concluded today.

The election commission officials rejected 18 nomination papers.

A total of 61 nomination forms have been filed in the by-elections. However, 43 candidates have been left in the fray after the rejection of the 18 nomination forms. The last date to withdraw the nomination papers is October 13.

The officials will declare the final list of the contesting candidates on the last day of the withdrawal.

EC appoints observers

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has appointed special observers to observe the by-election process. It is also keeping a close watch on the conduct of the by-elections.

The police department has made massive arrangements to avoid any kind of violence and untoward incident in the Huzurabad assembly constituency.

It has also roped in the services of 1900 police personnel to make security arrangements in the entire assembly segment.
