Hyderabad: The Department of Telecommunications has issued an alert about QR code frauds.”Check before scanning any QR code.
it is advised not to scan QRCodes dent by unknown people to avoid financial frauds”. the department cautioned.

Needless to say that this alert has been issued following frauds reported in the media in the name of QR code verification. Unscrupulous elements are sending QR codes and asking the people to verify the mobile number by clicking on the site sent by them.
Once you click on the given site, they make use of it to defraud you financially. Beware of such QR Code messages!!
