Hyderabad : Addl. Commissioners, Musarff Ali, Shankaraiah, DCP Traffic L.s.Chauhan, DCP (North) Kalmeshwar, DCP (Central Zone), P. Vishwa Prasad, conducted a meeting on the arrangements to be made on the occasion of Ganesh Immersion at Tank Bund at GHMC Head Office here.
Musharaff Ali said from GHMC side, all necessary arrangements will be taken up like sanitation, repair of roads as per the procession route list submitted by the police department, removal of construction & demolition material, curbing movement of cattle etc.
Musharaff Ali proposed to have centralized integrated control one at Tank Bund and another at NTR Marg road rather than control room for each department to have a better co-ordination at field work functionary and to avoid any delay in attending emergency work to taken up rather than waiting from higher officials concerned. Further he asked the officials to air their issues to be discussed based on experience of last year. The officials from Police Department suggested to provide 21 cranes on 9th and 10th day and increase it to 29 on 11th day, further suggested to have 2:1 extra staff i.e., drivers, operators and to operate in three shifts and also provide a suitable place at people’s plaza for those who come on personal vehicles specially on cars for immersion of idols for 3rd day onwards in order to avoid traffic jams on necklace road by erecting mesh to a certain height.(NSS)
