Following the High Court order, the officials of GHMC, the Police, the Pollution Control Board, Traffic and Electricity Department have rolled up their sleeves to go the whole hog against the illegal industries in the Shastripuram colony. The officials today went into huddle at the chamber of Dy. Commissioners’ Rajendranagar to decide on the next plan of action against industrial activities in the residential layout.
During the meeting, the officials of GHMC, TSPDCL NPA, Pollution Control Board (PCB), Traffic and Law and Order has reviewed the court order and meticulously draws the strategy to take on the offenders violating court orders by continuing industrial activities in a residential colony.
During the meeting it was decided that that official of TSPDCL NPA would verify the illegal industrial connections in the colony, Pollution Control Board (PCB) will keep checking the parameters of pollution level and Traffic Police Rajendranagar will put a shoulder on the wheel to inhibit the entry of heavy vehicles into the colony. Besides this, the Deputy Commissioner GHMC would inspect all the interior lanes to ascertain whether or not the loading and unloading activities are relinquished while new shades if found reconstructed, will be pulled down.
However, before rolling up the sleeves to take on the illegal industries in the colony, the officials will re-verify all the measures being taken up till now in the colony to check the industrial activities and will decide an appropriate date to carry out the task against the remaining offenders.
The Circle Inspector Maylardevpally will ensure the protection of the petitioners and the visiting officials on the date when the proposed inspection is carried out by the officials.
