Hyderabad : North Zone Task Force police and Lallaguda police today arrested one Masthi Suresh, auto driver, for hijacking one Srinivas of Jyothinagar in Malkajgiri on the night of October 13 and snatching his mobile phone after assaulting.
In a complaint lodged with the Lallaguda police on October 14, Srinivas alleged that while he was returning home from hitech bar at Mirzalguda crossroads on the previous night, four youths came on two bikes and accosted him and forcibly took him away to British Ground in Lallaguda and snatched his mobile phone worth Rs 5,000 after beating him.
The Task Force police along with Lallaguda detectives plunged into action and nabbed the main accused Masthi Suresh at his house this afternoon. His accomplices Vishal and two other were absconding, the police said. (NSS)
