Hyderabad: LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy, who defected to the ruling TRS, on Thursday said none of the 12 defected MLAs would get a cabinet berth in the State. He, however, said former home minister in the undivided AP Sabita Indra Reddy might get a cabinet berth.
Addressing mediapersons on Assembly premises, Sudheer Reddy said some Congress MLAs were trying to join the BJP as they have no chance to get posts after joining the ruling party. Noting that the politics are dynamic in nature, he said that the people of the state would bless only those political parties which won their trust in elections.
Noting that BJP leader Narendra Modi came to power without making any promises, he said the Congress should undergo a lot of changes to win the elections. He said the secularism did not mean that the party should give top priority to only Muslims. He claimed that the majority people were hurt that Muslims were getting priority from the political parties. He said there was a need to stress on the thought of treating every body with equality. He doubted that Modi might try to win in the next Lok Sabha elections by raking up issues like Ram Mandir and Article 370. (NSS)
