Owaisi criticizes PM Modi’s defense schemes, calls it ‘harebrained’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was criticized for his defense policies by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday. In its fight against China, India is running short of weapons, according to the Hyderabad MP.

Owaisi took to Twitter and wrote: The PM’s harebrained schemes have weakened us. India’s biggest challenge is China. We’re running out of weapons & our defense readiness is in shambles. We’re going to be short of HUNDREDS of jets. Too bad WEAK PM Modi can’t blame the Mughals for it.

Owaisi also linked to an article from Bloomberg.com concerning the pitfalls of the Union government’s defense policies at a time when China and Pakistan pose significant threats.

In an attempt to boost domestic defense manufacturing, India is running out of weapons, according to the article. Moreover, the report argues that India’s “military readiness” is likely to deteriorate further, putting the country at risk.

After the commissioning of INS Vikrant, Asaduddin Owaisi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hoping the carrier will give him the courage to speak up about China, which occupies 10 villages in our country.

On Friday morning, Prime Minister Modi commissioned INS Vikrant, the first aircraft carrier built and designed in India.

As India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier was commissioned, Owaisi said the country must now consider the need for a third aircraft carrier. PM Modi, however, is not approving the same, Owaisi said.

Additionally, Owaisi hoped that INS Vikrant would give PM Modi the courage to speak out against China in parliament.

“As a result of the INS Vikrant, I hope PM Modi will have the courage to speak out about the occupation of 10 villages on our territory by China. It is my hope that the INS will give him the strength to take the name of China in the Parliament,” he concluded.
