Vijayawada: Actor-turned-politician and Janasena party president Konidela Pawan Kalyan exercised his franchise in a polling booth set up at Patamata here this morning.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Pawan Kalyan exuded confidence that the polling will be peaceful and pass off without any untoward incident. When asked for his comment on vandalism incident in Anantapur where his party candidate Madhusudan Gupta destroyed an EVM machine by hurling it on the floor, Pawan Kalyan admitted it was a mistake. However, he said, he cannot comment without knowing the details of the incident. He also expressed his deep concern over non-functioning EVMs at various places in the State. (NSS)
