People groaning under “anti-people” policies of Modi govt: TTDP leader

Hyderabad: Criticising the proposed election manifesto of BJP, Telangana TDP vice-president Palvai Rajani Kumari alleged that the people are facing problems due to “anti-people” decisions of the Central government.

Speaking to the media at NTR trust bhavan today, Rajani Kumari demanded that the BJP first reduce prices of petrol and diesel as the people were groaning under the burden of increased petroleum products. She demanded that the State government reduce the cess on various items which are in the ambit of GST. She said the people are not satisfied with the issues raised by Telangana BJP State president which was to be incorporated in its election manifesto.

Launching a scathing attack on the TRS government, she alleged that Chief Minister KCR failed to set up a single DAC during his over four year rule. Plight of youth, Dalits, women, downtrodden and backward classes people have been increased in the State after TRS coming to power, she alleged.

The Chief Minister should give an explanation about his promises made to people who had said that water would be provided for irrigation in Manugodu and Devarakonda areas under Palamuru and Dindi projects. KCR had also promised to make Nalgonda district as a fluoride–free district, she reminded. She also said Harish Rao and KTR have no moral rights to talk about the TDP. (NSS)
